We are seeking for our headquarters in Heidelberg a highly motivated

Scientific Sales Specialist for our Japanese Market (m/f/d)

As a member of the Scientific Sales and Business Development Team, you support our local customers in Japan with your product expertise as a medical device consultant and with your domain knowledge as a biologist or MD.

Your responsibilities in detail:

Scientific Sales Support and Customer Relationship Management

  • Regular contact with customers to better understand customer needs during the sales process
  • Answer customer requests and interact with internal partners
  • Training physicians in APAC (with primary focus on Japan) to use our medical device
  • Assist physicians in planning, coordinating and preparing their case analysis
  • Manage customer feedback and interact with internal stakeholders for product feature requests

Sales Support Roles

  • Support Sales and Business Development in APAC by coordinating meetings, managing and coordinating sales projects with a client project timeline
  • Arrange complex business trip schedules and prepare conferences in APAC
  • Prepare client presentations, interact with internal Product Development, Project Office, Scientific Field Support, Customer Care and Marketing
  • Give pre-sales presentations of our cutting-edge medical device software to customers, (e.g. doctors, human geneticists, oncologists)

 Your skills and qualifications:

  • Complete university studies in a minimum of a Master’s degree, ideally with PhD in biomedical sciences or a closely related field
  • Fluent in Japanese (must have, ideally native level), fluent English or German preferred
  • Ideally several years of experience in supporting complex organizations as well as managing complex calendar and travel arrangements
  • Experience in facing physicians/medical scientists as customers
  • Knowledge of biomarkers, drugs and disease mechanisms in oncology as well as NGS and its applications in clinical diagnostics
  • Outstanding expertise in the field of molecular cell biology and genetics
  • Understanding of Salesforce
  • Very good presentation skills with regard to complex scientific content
  • Willingness to engage in extended international business travel to APAC destinations
  • A high level of motivation with a structured and goal oriented working style
