Your tasks

  • Handling data analytics activities for different projects

Your skills and qualifications

  • Master Degree student in computer sciences (or similar), bioinformatics or other computational life-science fields (e.g., biology, medicine, and so on) with exposure to mechanisms and concepts of/from the (bio-)molecular domain
  • Understanding of data mining and ability to implement standard statistical concepts and methods
  • Relational database experience (SQL, data integration, query optimization)
  • Programming experience in major languages (such as Python, R, or Java)
  • Optional: design and implementation of simple web user interfaces, experience with regular expressions, experience with visualization libraries and dashboard/’business intelligence’ tools (such as Tableau or SpotFire), familiarity with machine learning and text mining libraries, non-relational databases
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken)
  • Willingness to learn, ability to work independently, focused, and team-oriented
  • Interest in a long-term and continuous cooperation based on a 20-hour weekly schedule

Biologist or Medical Doctor (m/f/d) as Application Specialist for our Japanese Market

As a member of the Scientific Sales and Business Development Team, you support our local customers in mainly Japan with your product expertise as a medical device consultant and with your domain knowledge as a biologist or MD. Inevitable for the position are fluent language skills in Japanese and/or Chinese.

Your responsibilities in detail

  • Training the users of our software MH Guide to support treatment decisions for cancer patients (mainly in Japan, China and South Korea)
  • Give pre-sales presentations of our cutting-edge medical device software to customers, (e.g. doctors, human geneticists, oncologists)
  • Support Sales and Business Development in APAC by coordinating meetings, managing and coordinating sales projects with a client project timeline
  • Handling scientific requests from pathologists, oncologists and laboratory partners using Molecular Health’s biomedical technology platform
  • Provide technical support to BD & Sales including external partners in meetings with KOLs and subject matter experts (appointments, conferences, symposia)
  • Comprehensive internal management of customer feedback in close coordination with functional departments (e.g. Quality Management, Product Management, Development, IT, Biomedical Curation)
  • Support projects for the ongoing development of our analysis tool in close cooperation with Product Management and Product Development
  • Definition and documentation of new requirements for our internal service and development processes as well as for our customer specific technologies
  • Ongoing testing of the analysis tool in the context of continuous product development

Your skills and qualifications

  • Fluent in Japanese and/or Chinese (must have, ideally native level) and English or German
  • Complete university studies in a minimum of a Master’s degree, ideally with PhD in biomedical sciences or a closely related field
  • Experience in facing physicians/medical scientists as customers
  • Knowledge of biomarkers, drugs and disease mechanisms in oncology as well as NGS and its applications in clinical diagnostics
  • Outstanding expertise in the field of molecular cell biology and genetics
  • Very good presentation skills regarding complex scientific content
  • Willingness to engage in international business travel to APAC destinations

Your expert-level understanding of both classical and emergent AI methodologies will help direct Molecular Health in building novel intellectual property in the area of AI models, system prototypes and unique product functionalities.

As an integral member of our Heidelberg-based Research & Innovation Lab, you will work with a team of data scientists and in close collaboration with our multidisciplinary team of biomedical scientists, data curators and software engineers.

Your tasks

  • Working in the domains of real-world data analysis, clinical decision support, genome informatics and knowledge mining
  • Drive end-to-end AI software projects from architecture and design to the implementation of algorithms and their integration in solutions using ML libraries (e.g Scikit-learn, Keras, Tensorflow, Apache MLlib) and big-data applications and tools in close collaboration with our biomedical experts and software engineers
  • Explore, design and develop new models and AI algorithms beyond the state of the art and select appropriate datasets and data representation methods
  • Design, develop and maintain reliable and automated ML modelling pipelines, including big data processing, model training and evaluation, continuous integration and development, model quality monitoring and analytics
  • Run tests and experiments to continuously improve algorithms and methods through rigorous investigation and evaluation of alternatives
  • Extend existing ML libraries and frameworks
  • Represent Molecular Health in open innovation projects with academic and commercial partners
  • Write scientific deliverables, introduce novel in proposals/bids, write research papers and patents on areas such as Deep Learning, Neural Nets, Text data mining, etc.

Your skills and qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Engineering or related field of studies involving AI, ML, DL.
  • A solid foundation in the core concepts and principles of machine learning, statistical modelling, data analytics, text data mining and precision medicine
  • Deep understanding of statistical and predictive modelling concepts, clustering and classification techniques, recommendation and optimization algorithms
  • Ability to judge the relevance of existing models and algorithms to specific business needs
  • Experience with common data science toolkits, such as Pandas, Scikit, Statsmodels, Weka, NumPy
  • Programming experience with packages that support Data Science and Machine Learning code and pipelines such as Python, Tensorflow, PyTorch, numpy, scipy etc.
