As a member of the Project Management team, you will be responsible for the coordination and steering of customer onboarding and professional service activities in the context of Molecular Health’s MH Guide product suite. Furthermore, together with a team of customer support, product management, software de-velopment, and data management specialists, you will be part of the customer engagement team.  

Your tasks in detail

    • Steering of projects professional service projects
    • Customer requirement management, specification and proposal writing, coordination of customer-specific implementation activities and alignment with the overall product release cycle. Among others those are:
      • Customer report and report interface adaptations
      • NGS based input data adaptation/preprocessing e.g. fastq filtering or VCF adaptations to MH’s standard format
      • Customer knowledge base data import
    • Supporting Sales and Scientific Field Support in proposal generation and in customer meetings
    • Participate in 2nd level support of our customers

Your skills and qualifications

    • University degree, ideally with a doctorate in biomedical sciences
    • Expertise in next-generation sequencing methods and technology
    • Ideally bioinformatic and data analytical skills
    • Good knowledge and experience in project management
    • Organizational skills and flexibility
    • Teamwork
    • Independent and structured work and a quick learning
    • Strong communication, networking, and presentation skills
    • Excellent knowledge of English
    • Versed in dealing with all MS Office products incl. Project planning tools such as MS Project

You will lead our globally active field application support team for our innovative clinical decision support software offering. Win new customers in convincing product demos. Represent the company on conferences and key events. Drive customer satisfaction by providing excellent product trainings and expert-support. Collect and prioritize customer feedback and have an impact on the future and success of our products. 

Your main tasks

    • Technical and disciplinary lead of the Field Application Support Team
    • Plan and conduct MH Guide software demonstrations with interested parties and at professional events
    • Own and optimize key support processes and SOPs for customer onboardings and feedback collection
    • Training and supporting of MH Guide users in routine clinical practice to support treatment decisions for cancer patients
    • Support of sales and business development activities at customer meetings and conferences
    • Work closely with product management and product development teams to further develop our Clinical Decision Support Software product

Your skills and qualification

    • University degree, ideally with a PhD in biomedical sciences or medical doctor
    • 3+ years of work experience as application specialist or similar positions
    • Ideally previous experience in leading a team
    • Expertise in molecular biology and genomic analysis methods
    • Knowledge in the field of biomarkers, companion diagnostics, oncology
    • Experienced in writing scientific texts and presenting scientific content
    • Experience in working with multidisciplinary teams
    • Very good work organization and ability to work independently and in a structured manner
    • Business fluent in German and English
    • Willingness to travel at home and abroad (approx. 30% of the working time)

As a member of the product management team at Molecular Health, your focus is on scientific advice and specialist support for the use of our MH Guide software for customers in the molecular pathology laboratory. 

Your tasks in detail

  • Implementation of demos and training sessions of our software MH Guide to support a treatment decision for cancer patients with German and international customer accounts
  • Responding to scientific inquiries from pathologists, oncologists and laboratory partners using MH Guide in the laboratory or molecular tumor board
  • Technical support of business development and sales in discussions with experts (customer appointments, conferences, symposiums)
  • Comprehensive internal management of customer feedback in close coordination with the specialist departments (e.g., marketing, quality management, development, IT)
  • Support for the further development of our software tool in close cooperation with colleagues in product management and product development

Your profile

  • University degree, ideally with a doctorate in biomedical sciences
  • Expertise in the areas of molecular cell biology and genetics
  • Ideally knowledge in the field of oncology: Mechanisms of action of drugs, biomarkers and disease mechanisms
  • A good technical understanding in next generation sequencing, corresponding data processing and experience with software-based analysis methods (ideally hands-on experience)
  • Experience in presenting and communicating scientific content and in writing scientific texts
  • Fluent in German and English
  • Very good work organization and independent, structured work
  • Willingness to travel at home and abroad (approx. 30% of the working time)

Senior Bioinformatics Scientist (m/f/d)

As a member of the Biomedical Data Connection team in the Research department, you will be prototyping innovative tools and processes to support a revolutionary, data-driven technology that enables precision medicine. 

Your tasks include evaluation of new data resources and computational tools, as well as exploring ways to integrate them with the existing data world. You will conceptualize, develop, and maintain processes to harmonize and connect data, as well as web interfaces to present them in a comprehensive way. Support for services and bespoke solutions for customers, e.g., from the pharmaceutical industry, will be among the responsibilities. Most of this will be done in collaboration with other teams such as biomedical curators, ETL, and software development.

Your skills and qualifications

  • PhD in computational biology, bioinformatics, or a closely related field
  • Broad hands-on experience in bioinformatics programming, including shell scripting, object-oriented programming (either Perl or Python)
  • Experience with RDBMS systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.)
  • Comprehensive experience with data sources for molecular pathways, protein structures, and molecular interactions
  • Several years of experience in at least three of the following areas
    – Data engineering and/or development of ETL processes
    – Profound knowledge of standard bioinformatics algorithms and databases
    – Genome annotation software (e.g., the EnsEMBL Perl API)
    – Application and practical understanding of standard machine learning methods like SVM, artificial neural networks etc.
    – A strong grasp of molecular biology and genetics
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and scientific creativity are essential
  • Clear sense of organization, purpose, and accountability
  • Ability to work on multiple projects in parallel
  • Able to work independently, dependable, focused, project- and team-oriented
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Work experience in industry is considered a strong plus
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)

This expertise can help Pharma & Biotech companies to improve the understanding of drug outcomes and increase the accuracy to predict them. We offer our customers access to our data technology through in silico contract research. In this role you will contribute to the success of the team and the company by supporting business development activities and customer related projects.

Key responsibilities

Pharma In Silico Research projects:

  • Contribute to definition and delivery of full project scope from the customer perspective. This consists of proposal outline, proposal review, translation to technical requirements, and other necessary descriptions.
  • Contribute to scientific solutions of project execution by working with data sources and analytic tools and studying and summarizing the relevant scientific literature.
  • Assist in the planning and steering of pharma in silico projects (including coordination with internal and external stakeholders).
  • Contribute to delivering results as presentations, posters, and written reports to the customer.

Business Development support:

  • Facilitate planning and ensure regular follow-up of the business unit project pipeline.
  • Support with design and delivery of visually compelling and technically and scientifically rigorous presentations, reports, materials, for pitching of projects, prototyping of deliverables and for presentation of project results to customers.
  • Fulfill project-specific tasks and responsibilities as described in the personal targets.

Your skills and qualifications

  • Sc. or PhD. in molecular biology, molecular medicine, pharmacology or equivalent, e.g., specialization in disease-drug biology
  • Solid understanding of project management processes
  • Solid grasp of statistics and data science
  • Preferably previous experience with data analysis
  • Ability to work independently and to deliver high quality results under time pressure
  • Knowledge of molecular biology and pharmacology
  • Good communication skills and a team-oriented work-ethic. Preferred, but not required, previous experience in scientific or technical consulting in the healthcare sector and a strong interest in information technology and software
